"Up Were the Eagles Fly"

March 26, 2019

This is the second in my series of paintings of the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The photograph that I worked from was taken by my son, Elijah. He and my husband backpacked through the Eagle Cap Wilderness last fall and kindly brought me lots of material for future paintings.

I really like the "on top of the world" feel of this image and the fact that it is so high up one can se the curvature of the earth.
